The Phaser-5

Phrased as the "Phaser-1 of X2" Mike Raper created a new offensive phaser based on cutting the P-4 table in half and called it the "Phaser-5".  It proved to be too powerful at too long a range, so we retooled it using half the conjectural Megaphaser chart.  The new version has stayed stable for years now.

 Common Ground: The P5 Chart

Everybody uses this chart.

E.MR.1.0 (Mike Raper) E.MJC.1.0 (Michael-John Campbell)

Cost is 1.5, may rapid-pulse with X-Aegis as 2 P6's. May
be hastily repaired as a P1 (Everyone for the chart really, but J. Trauger
for the specific abilities described)

Phaser-5s may fire in rapid pulse mode as either 2Ph-6 shots or 3Ph-3 shotsd ( a Ph-3 shot may be substituted for a Ph-6 shot in the pair of Ph-6 shots ). Ph-6 shots cost 0.5 points of power.
