Forget a scorecard here.  You'll need a dance card to keep track of this fight.  ("Sabre-dance", that is...)  These two are going to be all over the map.  We will likely see the D7TC create a maze of Speed-20 drones which the Andro will play "in-and-out-the-windows" with.  I ran a WYN Black Shark against an Andro in the first round of HR3 and believe me, it's hard, hard, hard to threaten an Andro who knows how to maneuver with speed-20 drones. 

Turn 1
Both ships have started slow (only 21, Mr. Andro???) and the Klingon dropped a shuttle on IMP 10. 
Now it's Impulse 18.  Hey folks?  Anybody know what time it is?  IT'S SCATTERPACK TIME!  And tell the nice Andro what he's won.  Johnny? 

"Well the Klingon shuttle has released 6 warp-powered fusion warheads, each capable of a minimum explosive damage of 12 points apiece.  Four of them are cruising at a speed of 20.  But wait!  That's not all!  For no extra cost two rare, expensive SPEED 32 DRONES are being delivered right to the Andro's front door!  And it's all absolutely free!  Back to you, Pat." 

IMP 24: The Andro tried to displace about 6 hexes closer to the Klingon.  Originally I thought it worked and the Andro was Klingon-bait (displacing disrupts an Andro's fire control).  Well, the moderator forgot to roll (check his dice list) for the Andro displacement success.  Wouldn't ya know there was a "6" waiting for me?  The Andro displaces in place as it were, so his fire control is still disrupted.  He wouldn't have gotten the surprise T-R shot for 4 impulses unless he fired using passive fire control.  This is the first time I've seen a failed displacement *benefit* the Andro player (but then, few Andros displace into combat either).  My apologies to the Klingon player who must have been drooling over the possibility of first-turn internals. 

IMP 25: Andro announces speed change to 28.  'Bout time... 

IMP 27: The Klingon lashes out with 4 OL disruptors at 8 hexes distance.  No phasers, but the 3 hits were enough to cause disruptor-leak damage (ain't it grand to have a UIM which doesn't burn out?)  Oddly enough, the damage went to the Andro's rear panels. 
IMP 28:Now the Klingon's decided he's had his fun until he can rearm his disruptors, so he has turned away.  Next impulse, the Andro's fire control is back on-line.  We'll see how the Klingon's flank shields hold up. 

I found this decision to be somewhat questionable.  My own battle against an Andro in a disruptor boat (in my case a 1 phaser/1 drone WYN black shark) tells me that the disruptor boat needs to be ON the Andro from the word go. You let him go, he'll run away, dump his panels and be back with TRH's blazing.
 

IMP 29: Now that the Andro's fire control is back up, he takes a shot at the fleeing Klingon--and gets lucky! 30 points at 7 
hexes range to the Klingon's #3 shield.  With 5 points of reinforcement, the Klingon gets away with one Forward Hull hit. 
The round finishes with the Andro scotching the two speed-32 drones. 

Let me make this clear:  The Andro has gotten lucky, Lucky, LUCKY!  By rights he should have displaced to 4 hexes range and taken an unanswered full Klingon alpha strike without benefit of anesthetic.  Average damage at that distance about equals the 60 points the Andro's panels could absorb at Reinforced levels.  I was actually writing the sitrep with the results of the Klingon alpha strike when it hit me:  I never had the Andro roll for displacement.  Doh!  Then I saw the "6" on the dice list.  DOH!  Cheap tuition in the School of Life for Dean, the Andro player.  Then he gets those nice back-to-back T-R rolls on top of that...  Apologies again to Steve, the Klingon player. 

Sadly, the Klingon players dice list did NOT like him. Had the Andro player displaced as planned, he would have been a few points SHY of cresting the Andro's panels. In many ways, the dice beat the Klingon as much as the Andro did.

Turn 2 
It may have been a mistake for the Klingon to have turned off.  Now he has to chase the Andro down, which won't likely happen until the Andro has TRH's again.  As if to underscore this point, the Andro's starting the turn at speed 28 and the Klingon's: is 15.  The Andro's making a break for it but is right on the edge of being able to turn the corner on the Klingon's drones.  Stay tuned... 

IMP 9: The drones are on the Andro's doorstep and he's dancing around them.  Meanwhile the Klingon has revved up to 21.  Both are racing for the top of the map. 
IMP 11:  He what?  The Andro dropped his front panels?!?.  With no energy in them, it seems like a pointless act... 
IMP 16: The Andro's turning back around.  He had turned the corner on the drones in preparation for a southward run, but now he's changed his mind... 

Picture this: the Andro's headed away from a Klingon real close to the top-left corner of the board and he's headed D and just assured himself that the drones won't impede his progress to the high-number side of the board.  What's he do?  Turn back around?!?  I thought this was the mistake of the century and Steve the Klingon took as best advantage as he could of his good fortune..
 

IMP 18: The Klingon's chucked a couple of speed-32's at the Andro  The game is at a temporary hold due to moderator computer problems. 
IMP 21: The Andro's front panels were back up on IMP 19 (seems he thought the Klingon hit his front panels not the rear ones last turn)  We're back in action as the Andro turns to B.  Looks like he wants to meet the Klingon head-on.  Brave captain.  Let's hope he doesn't get his wish too soon.  (OK, *Steve* can hope the Andro gets his wish too soon...) 
IMP 27: Who says wishes don't come true?  Andro just hit range-8 from the Klingon.  This could almost be a win-win situation... 
IMP 28 With the Klingon player back from vacation, we inch forward another impulse... 

And what a cool impulse it was.  The Klingon shot off 3 OL disrs (plus a standard) and 4 P-1's into the Andro.  PA panels slurped it all up of course, but the Klingon got another disruptor leak out of it.  If he can keep the Andro in his sights and inside OL range when his weapons recycle, he could break though and do actual *internals*  The Andro, for his part, nuked the two fast drones that got shot at him quite handily. (2 P-2s each will do that, even at range 2...)  There are still 4 speed 20's howling along after him. 
IMP 29: Make that 5.  The D7 just launched another. 
IMP 32  ...and the Andro makes his move, turning to D to meet the Klingon.  Next turn he *won't* want a "6" when he Dis-Dev's.  He's gonna have to do some fancy flying.  The Klingon's set up a nice obstacle course... 

Turn 3
Start: The Klingon's pinned his hopes on Speed 0 while the Andro still at 28  A lot of marbles ride on what the Andro does with the initiative... 
IMP 4:  The Andro's making his attack run, phasering down one (speed-20) drone, dodging 4 others with one Speed-32 (launched on IMP 1) between him and the Klingon who is still motionless, Everyone's weapons are now hot (Klingon's disruptors and phasers just recycled)  This should be...explosive. 

Personally, if I were the Andro, I'd have taken my best shot on IMP 3 and dis-deved outta there before the Klink's disruptors recycled... 

I stand by this as THE way to have handled this situation.  You don't just bull through and pray for 6's...
 

...Case in point: If the Ando will go to range 4, he will likely go to 3, but 3 and 4 are the same to disruptors.  The Klingon fires the disruptors this impulse (only 2 hit--sorry Steve) and holds the phasers knowing the Ando can't Dis-Dev while holding hot TRH's  (Well, he CAN but it would be stupid).  Now a IMP 3 TR shot would still shred a Klingon shield and the Andro gets clean away before the Klink starts loading up the front panels. 

In other bad news, the Andro fired a P-2 at the onrushing drone in front of him.  Rolled a 1 too.  The drone survived.  Can you say "uh oh" boys and girls? 

IMP 5: Not "uh oh".  Not YET anyway.  Andro did a nice little dance around the speed-32, forcing the thing to HET instead of impact.  The new launch is also closing on target, but the Andro will likely sweep right by--unless he dis-devs right now.  He's AT range 3 to the Klingon... 

This is a terrible point for a game slowdown, but both parties said they were gonna be short on time, so... 

Now the final results are in and the luck has been spooned around THICK.  The Andro got a poor TRH roll, but did manage to Dis-dev away.  His front panels are 3 points from capacity, but by rights he should have taken internals (those lousy disruptor rolls kept the spectre of internals at bay).  The Klingon got good phaser rolls, but got scorched for 14 internals.  Steve lost no Drones or Disruptors, however. 

It's still anybody's game and we're back in high gear. 

IMP 16:  Looks like the rest of the turn is gonna be boredom-city as the Drones turn to follow the Andro and  the Andro moves straight down after dis-deving. 
IMP 20:...There's the Dump, right on schedule. 
IMP 26: To quote Holy Grail's Black Knight (thank you John Cleese), "Runnin' away eh?".  The Andro turns to C to lick some wounds while the Klingon gets up to speed. 
IMP 32: the Klingon threw in the towel.  It's hard to say whether it's because he didn't have a chance or because he didn't want to play it out.  Either way, the game is now a statistic. 

If the Klingon had hit with more than 2 disruptors this turn, this game could have been different.  He came VERY close to cresting the Andro's front panel limit. 3 disruptor hits would have resulted in 5 internals come phaser time.  A hit with 4 disruptors (not at all unlikely) would have created 13 internals.  At this point, leak hits would be translating into rolled internals (no hull left) even if no vital Andro systems were destroyed.  Bad place to be.

Personally, I don't think the Klingon was doomed, but he was facing an UPHILL fight.  He could have continued.  On the other hand, this game was dragging badly. Sometimes you just want to end it and go on to something new.
